We currently have vacancies for a Bb cornet player (position negotiable, though preferably front row), second trombone and solo baritone. This is a great opportunity for talented musicians to join our team, especially with an option to join us on our trip to Amboise to compete in the French Open on the first weekend of June.
Anyone interested should speak to our fantastic Musical Director Gary Wyatt (07956104042) or email our secretary Anne Cockagne (email@example.com).
Rehearsals are Monday and Thursday evenings at Carlton Baptist Church. Full details can be found here.
We have the advantage of being the closest band to Nottingham City Centre with good public transport links. We also have band members travelling in from all surrounding areas so lifts should not usually be a problem.
We have a sensible and varied programme of concerts and contests throughout the year and we also hold social activities for band members and family such as BBQs, curry nights and visits to beer festivals etc.
Going to one of the Nottingham Universities this summer? Carlton Brass have a long tradition of welcoming students and enabling them to keep playing whilst away from home. We have a wide spread of ages throughout the band so don’t worry that you won’t fit in.
Whatever you play, come down and have a blow and you will made most welcome.
We’re a friendly bunch and love our brass bands!
If you’d like to be part of our team please contact our secretary Anne Cockagne by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
