The band enjoyed a second visit this year to Lambley village in Nottingham at the invite of the parish council.

After a very successful concert in January in the village hall we were invited back for a repeat performance this time outside in the summer sunshine. Luckily enough they picked a dry day which hasn’t been a common event this summer.

The band performed a mixture of film, TV and popular music along with some proms’ classics for a singalong and audience participation at the end.

The programme included tenor horn solo, Grandfather’s Clock usually a euphonium solo but arranged and performed by Geoff Hawley on horn. Also a cornet and euphonium duet, The Prayer performed by Andy Allison and Steve Wardle along with classics such as Stingray and Thunderbirds.

It was a great evening and we look forward to coming back again at some point in the future.
