Lakeside Carols

8th/14th/21st/22nd December 2008. Carlton Brass will be performing Christmas Carols and a selection of Christmas-themed music at Lakeside Tower between 19:00 and 21:30. There will also be some operatic fair from the Alan Johnson Singers. Prepare to be serenaded from the balcony!

Stannington sweep the board

Stannington band took home 1st prize and the George Slattery Memorial Cup as well as the prize and trophy for the most entertaining band. The entertainment adjudicators commented: “Looked Good…..All Round Entertainment…..The Best & Most Entertaining Band”.

Because of severe parking problems at Lakeside the Entertainments Contest on Sept 10th has been relocated to The Mapperley Plains Social Club on Plains Road Mapperley Nottingham NG35RH.
