Carlton Brass Training Band – St George’s Day concert

Members of our Training Band turned out at Carlton Baptist Church on Saturday (25th April) to perform a stunning set of British-themed pieces for our local community.

Training Band’s first self-promoted performance in years, many weeks in preparation, took a solid effort on everyone’s part to pull together some rousing performances from the band and all our soloists. Many of our members had never played a concert before, so this was their introduction to performing on a more grand scale than our band room!

Everyone had a great time with some excellent audience participation, a successful raffle and tea and cake intermission raising funds that will go towards such things as new instruments and maintenance; For free admission that’s quite some achievement for everyone!

Many thanks to all band members and to everyone who turned out to see and hear us perform, we hope this will be the first of many great performances!

We’re always on the lookout for new members of any skill level; If you are interested in learning or joining the training band all the information you need can be found Here.
