Battle of the Bands Contest

Yet again Tony managed to gain another two prizes, this time at The Ireland Band’s Entertainment contest. Playing band number three we managed to gain second prize and the best soloist prize.

The programme was:

• Stingray
• 2nd movement from Gordon Langford’s  Sinfonietta
• Georgia  - Cornet Soloist Andy Allison
• Bramwyn
• At the sign of the swinging cymbal
• Hungarian Rhapsody No2

It was also a good day for our Training Band Band as they picked up the prize for the best lower section band not in the prizes. Well done to all and very smart you looked in your new uniforms.
